RareIntent Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 I want to move my categories on front page down to a sub-category of a new set of categories....how would I do this and still retain all the links, etc...or do I have to do it one by one and re-link categories and products? The example is most of what's on site now is newage related...as we are revamping to include bed-bath, bath-body, home-garden, mind-body, spirit-religiuos....we want to move the present categories into the lader new one, hopefully with the click of a button......lol Anyone done this?....and how/where? Thanks, Derek emporium-one.com

kronik76 Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 you want to make "new" category and take the old ones and put them into it? new category >old stuff >old stuff new new category >old stuff If this is what you want then all you need to do is go to the category section in admin, create your new category first, then select one of the old ones and and click move, then select the new category and it'll move it into there i had over 50 categories which i've condensed down to about 10 using new categories hope this helps?
