can't set defult language to spanish

I tried setting the defult language to spanish but it still loads in english.

Another problem is that if I chooes the spanish option, it comes up in spanish but when I hit a link it changes back to english. How can I stop that?

If I get it to display spanish as defult I would like to be able to choose english and make it stay in english while in use.

 

I'll appriciate any help on this

try setting it in includes/languages/english.php (setting there for def language)

Thanks for the help, but I'm new at PHP and Haven't been able to find the setting.

 

Do you mean directly in the code? If so can you tell me around what line? I checked the code and couldn't find anything that looked like a english setting (or any other languge).
