Guest Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Hi! I set up the osCommerce script, and right now i'm having a tad bit trouble configuring the email properly I'm running the osC 2.2 Linux Server Email Opt : E-Mail Transport Method -sendmail E-Mail Linefeeds -LF Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails- false Verify E-Mail Addresses Through DNS -true Send E-Mails -true however I'm not able to send emails in neither the admin screen / orders / newsletter anybody know what i might be missing in the configuration / how i could fix it? thanks!
dad7732 Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Not to add a "me too" post but I am also having the same problem. I just want to add that my sendmail log shows absolutely NO activity whatsoever immeidately after attempting to send a test mail or two.
Guest Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 would an alternative solution be to change to smtp, and do it the alternative way (windows way) since there seems to be a lot of stuff in the search about that... tho - that seems a lot more coplicated. any ideas? anyone?
Guest Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 with linux you should be able to use the default installation. there is an 'email test' contribution, seems you may have something wrong with that.

Puzzling to say the least. I just loaded this app today so I haven't had the luxury of doing a lot of looking around.

However, the email in the admin section still does not work.
Guest Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 if both emails arrived, then it is going thru the email server both ways, outside and inside oscommerce. so it could be something didnt get copied all the way over on the installation process code wise. you may want to try copying the application back up (keeping the original configure.php files)
Guest Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 My set up yields the same thing, in that contact us page works -- sends to admin However, admin messages and invoice isn't sent to the customer * +where's this test email contrib ? (can't seem to find it)
