I have had months of problems with getting my clients DHL XML API rates in OSC. I have been back and forth with DHL but found out this morning I cannot use this contribution because my client is a Airborne customer and not DHL, I know what you are thinking, they are the same, but not so accourding to Airborne, My client was a Airborne customer before DHL bought them out and the two companies have not merged their client lists. My client is getting different rates than DHL, so this contribution wont work for her. I was sent a "External Linkage" info packet using www.wwexship.com, being told this is my solution, but it is for xml based shopping carts, has anybody had this problem? and more importantly has anybody solved it. Thanks a ton in advanced.

When I originally developed this module, it was Airborne only, and it runs on the Airborne ShipIT API, not the DHL API. I also hold a legacy Airborne account from before the merger and it works fine.

This is the contribution you are speaking of, correct:

Ya, thats the one, the contribution working fine but give the following error; "The following errors have occured: 1. This account can not be used for rate estimates."

After speaking to the DHL/Airborne rep, who happens to be my brother-in-law, he pulled some strings to help me out and the answer I got didn't seem to get me anywhere, hence I am posting to get help. And of course the "ONE" guy who can help at DHL is new and is overloaded with work, I have the Airborne techs helping and they are not familier with OSC, and seem to be out of touch with DHL... man this gets confusing. Have you heard of the error above, maybe a simple fix on my end? Thanks.

That won't help you. DHL and Airborne have different accounting systems and there is nothing you can do now.

You have 2 options if you ship only U.S. Domestic - you can use ShipIT but with old Airborne numbers. If you want to ship U.S. Export you have to use XML-PI which works only with the new DHL account numbers.

I personally spend 1 month to understand how exactly this works. I have a customer who purchased subscription to our hosted SOAP Web Services and he cannot use it because he wanted to ship internationally but the account number was Airborne.

After calling DHL representatives at all levels it became clear he has to register again. He registered at the DHL web site with new username. After a day DHL rejected issuing a new account number because he aready has one. He tried to explain that he wanted to use his account the automated shipping DHL web service but the sales rep does not have a clue about this. After many trials now his old account number is revoked and now he can apply for new one and renegotiate new rates.

I wanted to share my experience.

I am also receiving the error message, 1. This account can not be used for rate estimates. I notice in the paperwork we filled out to get the online account, RateIT and ShipIT are two separate services, and we checked both of them. And the keys I received in an email and am trying to use with the module are identified as ShipIT keys. There was no mention of a RateIT key. I have sent an email to their tech folks, maybe they'll be better able to help after these three years since you guys had similar problems.

Maybe after a couple more days I'll get another email with RateIT keys; who knows?

Thanks
