ryanf Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Hi I am setting up a new store and the drop shipper I am using charges 8% of the wholesale price for items over $100. Is there a way to set this up? I will charge like 6% of the retail price and if thats under, I guess I will eat the cost but my markup should cover it. This is the drop shippers shipping rates: Orders costing: $0 to $25 orders - $4.99 shipping $26 to $50 orders - $5.99 shipping $51 to $75 orders - $6.99 shipping $76 to $100 orders - $7.99 shipping $101 orders and over - shipping = 8% of wholesale price Remember, Alaska and Hawaii will be an additional $20.00 per order. There is also a $4 handling fee but thats no problem to add. I was trying this: 25:4.99,50:5.99,75:6.99,100:7.99,10000:8% but it just thinks anything from 101 to 10000 is $8. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks, Ryan If I was crafty, this would be a funny signature.
Guest Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 Yeah, it only does a percentage or a dollar rate. You could figure out the percentage near the top of each range and substitute that in place and switch over to percent. How bad would that be for customers at the bottom of the range? You could do it for multiple stages within the range from your supplier. In other words, do twenty percentage ranges to come much closer to the actual charge, so you're not gouging customers ordering say $52 . I hope this helps!
ryanf Posted December 31, 2004 Author Posted December 31, 2004 How do you do a percentage? I could then just split the ranges into more groups to cut down on any gap on me having to pay more for shipping. If I was crafty, this would be a funny signature.
