freejojoey Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 I have a problem, and unfortunately I was unable to find the answer in the knowledge base... I am using the plain cc module to process credit cards over a secure connection (https), and i decided to use the "send extra email" function of it (thru admin) so that PART of the customer's credit card gets emailed to me. However, because I do not understand how this cc module ties into my existing merchant account that allows me to swipe credit cards at my store location, I assumed I would have to key in the cc numbers manually when I get online orders. So, if the "send extra email" function only sends me part of the cc #, what do I have to do (besides logging into the database) to get the rest of it so I may manually process it thru my swipe machine??? Any help is GREATLY appreciated... thank you in advance!

Guest Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Why not just pay the few dollars a month to get an online gateway? I highly recommend you process the orders in real time and NOT store the CC numbers in the database. You have been tasked with customer information security and this is one necessary requirement. charles1 Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Hi Chemo, do you know of any online gateways to accept Visa/Mastercard (minimum) without having them to register? (No third party merchants, yet no true merchant accounts requiring have to go through the bank)
