♥Vger
If you have installed osCommerce on a Windows server then the CHMOD command used in FTP won't work. You either need to change the file permission in your web hosting control panel (not the osCommerce control panel), or by accessing your site using SSH or Telnet. Yes, everyone will see this message. AWWWW.WAHWAH
I did that too ...still showing that warning... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Like I said before in another topic ... this has happened to me. Changing the file permission wouldn't work using any FTP program like CuteFTP or LeapFTP. It did work however under cPanel which my host supplies as a part of my hosting package. I would contact your host provider to find out the problem. Remember what the Bible says: He who is without sin, cast the first rock. And I shall smoketh it. ♥Vger
Young Tae Byun - Sarath has already tried changing it via the web hosting control panel. Sarath - Just in case - check to see if you have a folder called 'local' with another configure.php file inside it. If it is there then it has the permission to overrule any other configure.php file and the application_top.php file. If it's not there then try one more time to reset the permission to 400 (Owner - Read Only), and if that doesn't work contact your hosting company and get them to set the permission for you.
