Mass price change

How can I chane my prices really quick?

I have around 5000 items. each has a different price. Now for around 1200 i need to changre prices. Do i have to actually EDIT each item for a price change ? or is there a contribution to help me out here :)

If you have Easy Populate installed, which you really should with that many products, you can easily do it with Excel. Other wise, create a .sql file and upload it with phpmyadmin. The file should contain something like

UPDATE products  SET products_price = products_price * 1.2;

The above should raise all prices 20%. Test it first though since I'm doing this from memory.
