karascott Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 I host a number of websites that use OS Commerce and at some point over the last few days, they have all suddenly started to display the message:- Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/skincare/public_html/shop/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. I have tried changing the CHMOD of configure.php to 755 and tried 744 too but without success. I understand this is a fairly common problem but I can't seem to find the right solution. Can anybody shed some light on to this please?
Guest Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 properties need to be 644, if not, then try 444. most likely your host has changed settings on the server. do you know what version of php you are now using? to find out, go to one of the store admin/tools/server info and you can see the php version there.

I am using PHP 4.3.10
