freejojoey Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 This is all wonderful... i've successfully installed an ssl certificate, and i've got my orders processing thru https, except we are just using the plain cc module (credit card) and i'm wondering where do i tie into this my merchant account??? The emails that get sent out don't have the customer's cc # in them, and i dont recall answering any merchant account questions to the ssl people. What do I do? Thanks in advance for the help!

Thanks in advance for the help! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Your ssl certificate and a merchant account have nothing to do with each other. Now that you have your certificate you need to sign up for a merchant account. Do a google search and you will find a lot of choices. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
freejojoey Posted December 30, 2004 Author Posted December 30, 2004 i already have a merchant account that i use for accepting visa/mastercard at my real brick&mortar store location... but how does the cc module pass the customer's credit card number along to me so i can charge it and make it deposit to my merchant account??? i didnt see the # in the email i got when placing an order, and i didnt see a way to tie into the cc module my merchant account. thank you for your assistance... ~joey
freejojoey Posted December 30, 2004 Author Posted December 30, 2004 just like the paypal module connects to your paypal account, and the authorize.net module connects to your authorize.net account, i was hoping to find out how the cc module connects to my merchant account...
Guest Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 via the credit card module, where you can setup to have portion of the cc # emailed, the other will remain on the server. you need to check with your merchant vendor to see if they will accpet/allow you to key in cc #'s which you take off the internet, could be against your agreement.
