I uploaded free copy of thezonestore to my server. Did not install it as of yet.

When I check my store everything is missed up. I ran my restore and got most of the site back EXCEPT, when I click on some of the items in the category box on the Left side it goes to that category but the category box changes to the freezone version and I loose my category list. Can anybody help?

most likely you are using cache, and the directory is set to /tmp and not to a tmp inside your document root area. turn off cache, set the /tmp setting in admin/configuration/logging, sessions and cache to a directory you create inside your document root and see what gives
