Password protecting a product category

Ok here is the deal. I sell Cd's, downloads, etc.. but I also want to sell products that require a liscense for use from publishers and I don't want everybody else to be able to browse that category. Actually it would be best if it didn't even show up on the list of categories on the front. So, I could just send them a special link to that list with their password.

 

Do you think this would be possible, and how?

I am also looking for a way to password catagories. I do photos for groups and want to place their photos in a protected catagory.
