all text changes are in the languages, thus for index.php go into includes/languages/english/index.php and change the top define to suit your liking. remember, if you use an apostrophe, you need to precede with a \ (Let\'s see)

i have changed it, when i do i get a prase error.

you need to post the line containing the parse error.

When you get the error message telling you that there was a parse error, it should tell you what line the error occured on. Load up the file containing the error and copy the contents of that line here so we can see it and figure out what's causing the parse error.

 

Or, you could just copy and paste the entire contents of /includes/languages/english.php here if it's not too terribly long. :)

 

Edit: I loaded up your homepage, but I didn't get any parse error. I just saw the default osCommerce text.
