catalog works but 1046 error on admin

Hi,

 

I've installed OSC just fine. I did the easypopulate mods in all files, as instructed. Still have the default data set. I can get to the catalog using mysite.com/catalog but when I try either mysite.com/admin or mysite.com/catalog/admin I get the dreaded error:

 

1046 - No Database Selected

select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration

 

Any ideas? (I searched for 1046 in the forums but I didn't see any suggestions I could use in my particular case.)

check your configure.php in admin/includes/configure.php file for database info, make sure it matches the includes/configure.php file in the same area.

That worked. I had the admin folder outside of the catalog folder during installation. I think I read somewhere that it didn't matter where it was and that I should secure it, so I thought moving it to an unexpected location would do the trick. It did - it was left alone during the install! All appropriate spots have been edited - correctly I hope - and I can now get into the admin tool.
