ARGH - my first paypal woes

Guess this is why people don't like using paypal :(

OK - here's the problem. I am trying to test out paypal by purchasing something I have setup for 10cents with shipping costing on 10 cents. We originally had a flat rate of $5 setup but I reduced it for the test. Refreshed the pages, reloaded..cleared cookies, everything ...and it shows as 10cents in the admin tool

BUT

when going from our site to the paypal site to enter the info, it automatically populates $5 for the shipping cost.

How do I correct this

AND

What is the best paypal IPN contrib out there? Tried version 1.0 but its bugged still in the admin tool.

HELP please!

Sorry..

Ok I realized that paypal was adding the shipping based on its tables. I'd like my shipping info from OSC to carry forward. Is there an IPN which covers all the paypal woes?

The problem's not with PayPal - it doesn't insert anything into Shipping that your site doesn't tell it to. You need to check your Shipping in Modules --> Flat Rate, because it just so happens that the default setting is for $5

If you've done that, and you still have the problem - then the problem lies somewhere else in your website.

if using ipn you can also set payment to itemized and not aggregate

If you are not using the ipn and the $5 is not coming from your site, check your paypal profile and make sure it is not coming from your paypal account setup.

The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.
