divadogs Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 My install appeared to work fine, but if I try to go to the catalog, I get this error: "1046 - No Database Selected select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration [TEP STOP]" Also, on the Administration tool, if I click that, the page gives the same error as above. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! SL

♥Vger Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 OK, so now the things you must do IMMEDIATELY, are: 1. Change the name of your 'admin' folder, and change the references in your admin/includes/configure.php to reflect the new folder name e.g. change /admin/ to /newname/ 2. Use your web hosting control panel to Password Protect the folder you have your 'admin' in. 3. If your hosting company provides a shared ssl then find out what the pathway is and use it to further protect your 'admin' folder, and to use it to protect customer information within the website itself. Post again if you have problems with this last item. 4. Get your hosting company to immediately upgrade their very old version of PHP to either PHP 4.3.10 or PHP 5+ - because their current version of PHP 4.3.3 is a bit of a joke, and wide open to being hacked.
