Guest Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 if you are using htccess for admin protection, go to host control panel and click on 'protect directory', if via admin access with levels you should be able to click on forgot password
watcher Posted December 27, 2004 Author Posted December 27, 2004 hm, there is only the login-window, no option. and via FTP i cant find it in the configurations.. i just go to the shop and add the /administration in my browser. then comes the login, but no option :'( many thanks
Guest Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 you wont find it in ftp, so you most likely need to go to your host cpanel. or post a link to your admin login and we can help point you in the right direction.
watcher Posted December 27, 2004 Author Posted December 27, 2004 is it possible via phpmyadmin ?
♥Vger Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 Follow Mibble's advice. Go to your web hosting control panel, and look for the Password Protect or Directory Protect function, and then elect to Password Protect the osCommerce 'admin' directory. This will reset any existing user name and password, and will write it into the .htaccess file. You can view the .htaccess file by FTP'ing to your website, typing -la into the blank box on the right of your FTP screen (below the MkDir box), and then navigating to your 'admin' folder. The command -la tells the FTP programme to show any hidden files, which is what .htaccess is. Vger
