shoptangerineDOTcom Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 Hello all... been lurking the forums and playing with a demo of OScommerce I installed on my machine. Just having a hard time making the commitment. I will be selling clothing online (as an extenstion of our retail store) and need a cart system...I like OScommerce just scared of the know how part-I dont know PHP at all. But I have gotten by pretty OK just playing around with it. Anyways, should I just go with OScommerce or what? Thanks Craig Glaspell
bobg7 Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 Everything is a matter of choice, for me it was easy. 2 or 3 hours reading up on OSC 2 days finding a host I felt comfortable with and within my budget 1 hour installing OSC A few weeks working with it learning how PHP works to some degree I looked at other free and packaged systems and found the basic OSC worked great right from the get go without any mods or addons. The support here is great, I was able to search and find most of the answers I needed and if I couldn't find an answer, someone here was able help me out. I can't say about the other systems you mentioned since I haven't worked with them. Read through the Knowledge Base and the forums and I think you will be happy with OSC.
