boxtel Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 To make osc the home page. Get rid of www.mysite.hostcanthandlethetraffic/etc . <{POST_SNAPBACK}> move your files up one directory level and change your configure.php settings to reflect that. Treasurer MFC
Guest Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 move your files up one directory level and change your configure.php settings to reflect that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Could you explain that with a bit more detail please? Thanks
ozEworks Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 They mean your site directory structure is controlling this so you need to change it. Your site files are in a directory called "hostcan..." You need to move them up to the same level that directory is in. So the software knows you've done this you need to update your config.php file to tell it where they now are. Then you can get rid of that "hostcan ..." directory. Be careful doing it!
ozcsys Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 Could you explain that with a bit more detail please? Thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually once you move your files up one level to the root there are two files you need to change includes/configure.php admin/includes/configure.php just remove the excess information from the paths and you should be good to go but if not you can always post them here(minus your database info) and get help getting them correct. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??

I found where to get rid of the excess (permissions were denied), but how do you move up one level? Thanks
