Has anyone seen a solution similar to this on any site and specifically on a site built using oScommerce?

You're not asking much =) I think you might be able to do it if you built your own frontend in flash or java and then pass them into oscommerce for checkout but... it would be A LOT of work. In the end you might not want to use the osC backend at all. Cool idea though. If you do build it release it GPL! Iggy Everything's funny but nothing's a joke...

Only a small fraction of web users have access to Java, due to it's download size, popularity and to make it worse there have been some legal issues with Microsoft.
Sequoia Posted December 25, 2004 Author Posted December 25, 2004 My first thought was that it would be something that could only be executed in Flash, but just like Java, I was wary of the alienation factor (Adima I think 99% is a bit optimistic). I know people still running Netscape 4 believe it or not :( Ambitious project, It'll probablly take 6-7 months to get it done if I do all the coding myself, maybe half as long if I do only the Flash portion and farm out the osc work... Thanks all for your replies...oh and Feliz Navida for those who celebrate it.
