Trouble Adding Images To Subfolders

I have read the docs concerning adding images to subfolders under /images. I can't get my images to store in folders under /images, i.e. /images/hewlettpackard, /images/brother, etc.

I am using OSC 2.2MS2 under Windows 2000. I create the folder under /images, then add the gif file to the folder, then I use the admin util to add a product, click browse to select the image, change the last slash from "\" to "/", but to no avail. The image won't show up in the website.

What am I doing wrong? TIA!

Update to my earlier post:

I managed to export the products file using EasyPopulate and just added the subfolder name + "/<model name>" + ".gif" to the image field and populated all the image fields in all the records to what I wanted....it worked and I'm happy!

Unfortunately, the line numbers are different for the my version of admin/categories.php (which I hope is the latest version). The file header says $Id: categories.php,v 1.146 2003/07/11 14:40:27 hpdl Exp $

I can find that the code originally at line 315 is now at line 403 and 317 is now at 406. I can't find where to add the last block of code (was originally after lines 562-565). Can you tell me the line number for the ver 1.146 (or cut and paste the instructions at lines 562-565 so I can do a search)?

Many Thanks -
