optional shipping address

When a customer creates a new account, i would like to have shipping/billing information be optional

ie) these are the required fields

First Name :

Last Name :

Email :

Re-enter Email:

Password:

Re-enter Password:

 

and then optional fields

Address :

City :

Country :

State / Province:

Postal / Zip :

Daytime Phone :

 

i looked throught contributions and could not find anything..any direction would be great

The below can be set to 'false' in Customer Details in your osCommerce control panel.

 

Gender false

Date of Birth false

Company false

Suburb false

State false

 

This will mean that any of the above set to 'false' will not show in the create account page at all. If you want to make 'required' fields into optional fields then you're going to have to trawl through quite a bit of code to change things.
