Categories links not working

My Category links on the top left of the index page no longer link to anything, even though there are products in those categories. The URL changes from "store/" to "store/index.php?cPath=1" when i click on the first category, but the content of the page doesn't change from the initial index.php.

(I am new to OSCommerce and, while i was trying to figure out how to modify the look of the header, opened the index.php file in Microsoft FrontPage, modified the file, then FTPed it back to my site. I think it was around then that the links stopped working, although I can't be sure. Could FrontPage wreak so much havoc?)

Does anyone know how i can fix this? If I've been unclear I can add more info.

Many thanks,

Rigel

I changed the index page in frontpage. Using admin, I added another category (cards2) and although it doesn't show up on the main page, that category shows up when you click on the "what's new" picture. However, if you try to click on the new category it brings you back to the index.php page (with a cPath of 21) which has the original index information on it. I don't know php enough (barely at all) to understand what is happening.

Like a dork, I didn't save a copy of my original index file. Lesson learned! I will try re-downloading just the index page from the oscommerce site. I don't know if that will work or not, but i don't know what else to do.

thanks very much for taking a look at my problem, Qihun, I appreciate it

Download all files from site and save the copy on your computer

and use this for any time you need.

I never worked with FP , so i do not know if it is safe to work with , but i know people working with DreamViewer and it is fine.

...anytime
