i-SHOT Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 Hi All, I'm new at this but I managed to solved one issue simply by looking at all the related threads on the forum. The error was the following warning: " Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: d:/web/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file." There were several solutions I found thanks to the folks who replied to previous queries from others but I (slowly but surely) figured out how to use WS_FTP to correct this problem and I thought this might be of some help to others. Here's what you need to do: 1) Select the file. 2) From the right mouse menu select Properties. 3) The permissions areas appear at the bottom of the Properties dialog. If the file is not on a UNIX server, the fields will be blank. 4) Set any of the options (or just type in 644, 400, etc into the "Numeric Value" box) and click the OK button On that note, my sincere thanks to those who take the time and exhibit extreme patience to help folks like myself.
