♥Vger Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 Amanda - there's being cryptic and and then there's being downright obtuse. Paul - you need to password protect your folder. There should be a facility within your web hosting control panel which enables you to do this. However, before doing so, don't forget to rename your 'admin' folder to something else, and to alter the file pathways to /admin/ accordingly in admin/includes/configure.php If your web hosting panel doesn't give you the 'password protect' feature then you'l find a few Contributions which will do this, and you could also do it via .htaccess Vger

I'm doing everything the contribution says. Doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions???? This was the contribution I used Auth your admin catalog ver.2.2 (English/Polish)
♥Vger Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 By far the best, and easiest, way to protect your admin folder is to use the 'Password Protect' or 'Protect Directory' feature in your web hosting control panel. I know that this feature exists in cPanel and Ensim and Ensim Pro control panels. Vger
