VirtualT Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 Hi all, I've looked through the forums for the answer to this but couldn't find anything, so if this has already been answered, my apologies - please direct me to the topic! A little while ago now I upgraded PHP to v4.3.9 (server is running Fedora), but had to roll it back to v4.3.8 in a hurry as I'd just finished setting up an osCommerce site (v2.2 MS2), everything was working and I was about to make it live. When I upgraded, any new products I added were unable to be displayed - the page stopped loading at the point where the product image should have been displayed. I also had a problem with the 'Star Product' contribution (shows a single large image on the front page), which also wouldn't display. Products added before the upgrade were fine. I also had a problem with the 'Admin Access with Levels' contribution, which wouldn't log anyone in (I eventually removed it entirely). I've a feeling it's going to be something to do with php settings, but I've no idea what, and I would really like to get the server up to date! Has anyone else seen this, and/or know how to fix it? Thanks for your help :)
VirtualT Posted January 4, 2005 Author Posted January 4, 2005 Hi all, Sorry about this but ... *bump*! Think I really need to get this fixed for security reasons! Does anyone have an answer to the above query, or would someone who is running php v4.3.9 on Linux who hasn't modified their php setup please send me a copy of their phpinfo() output so I can compare the two? Thanks for your help :)
♥Vger Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 I would upgrade to 4.3.10, install a default osCommerce website, and then start adding your modified files to it, and that way you should be able to find out at which point the problem is occuring. It is not an osCommerce problem, and must be something to do with the Contributions that have been installed. Vger

Beware, that'll break all kinds of things... :o "Buy the ticket, take the ride..." -HST
VirtualT Posted January 5, 2005 Author Posted January 5, 2005 I would upgrade to 4.3.10, install a default osCommerce website Hi Vger, I'd love to, but have two other osCommerce sites already running on the same server that I really don't want to break! You're right though - it could be a contribution ... Thanks :)
