Resizing Main image for thumbnails

I would like to be able to upload 1 image per product (the larger image) and have a module automatically create a thumbnail as a smaller quality image. This way pages with thumbnails will load quicker than simply trying to constrain a larger image to look smaller even though the larger image is still being downloaded.

Issues are:

Some images will be square (although the same size)

Some images will be a vertical rectangle (although the same size for this shape)

Some images will be a horizontal rectangle (although the same size for this shape)

I would like a module which will resize each of these shapes to a small specific dimension (pixel x pixel size) thumbnail. Obviously these 3 types of images will be 3 different sizes of thumbnails but I would like it to recognize a vertical rectangle larger image and know what size it should turn that into as a smaller vertical rectangle thumbnail. Also needs to recognize the horiztonal rectangle larger image to turn all of those into specific sized thumbnail sized horizontal rectangles. Squares should be recognized and turned into specific sized squares.

I found some modules and was wondering if any of you have enough experience with any of these (or any others that you could recommend) which you think will accomplish this task or am I screwed with these 3 different shapes?

Modules:

auto resize images

Automatic Thumbnail

'On the Fly' Auto Thumbnailer using GD Library

JPG Thumbnailer

BigSize Image

Thumbnail Generator

Image auto Resizer

Found them by doing a search for "image" at:

Thanks,
