oblivion77 Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 First of all osCommerce is the shopping cart program I have been searching for, for a really long time. Unfortunealty I?ve been stuck using Miva whish is totally proprietary and expensive too. I?ve finally talked my boss into letting me switch our shopping cart to osCommerce. So far there is only one thing I can?t get it to do. I notice when I add a ?Product Image? in osCommerce the image displays only one size throughout the website until I click on enlarge. I run a clothing store and normally other clothing stores and shopping carts have three sets of images for each product: 1) The smallest image, used on a category page with all the other products. 2) A midsized imaged used on the product page where you buy the item. 3) The largest image, which is used to zoom. OsCommerce only has two sizes for the product images, the smaller image and an enlarged image. I think there is a way to have three image sizes for each product. The below site works this way, notice when you click on the small thumbnail it goes to a bigger picture. Does anyone know how to do this, is there a Contributions that does this? Any comments would be helpful and greatly appreciated. http://www.beautifulmood.com/index.php?cPa...eID=default.php Also I read about the automatic thumbnail generator and plan on using one of them, any recommendations?
ozEworks Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 I think there is a contribution that has to be installed to do this. Go to Contributions and look in the Image area and you might find it. Then again someone how knows might post it here!
iainshaw Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 I used ultra pics. Described in the readme.txt file as Sm, Med, Lge and MoPics. Gives you the functionality you want. I'd do a bit of research before you used it with an auto thumbnailer as I've no experience of using them. There may be a contrib that gives you everything you want
