Security Warning

I did install osCommerce 2.2ms2 (with cpanel).

But I get this message:

Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/ejemplos/public_html//oscommerce/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.

I have checked the CHMOD and it is definitely 644. I even tried CHMOD 444. The error remains no matter what.

Any hint?

The only solution was to change to PHP 3.9 (was 3.10).

The problem with PHP 3.10 was Zend Optimizer v2.5.5.

Upgrading to Zend Optimizer v2.5.7 resolves the problem.

Now is working ok with PHP version 3.10

I had a problem where I couldn't change to 444 using my ftp. My host sets this up so that you cant unless you use the admin panel (cpanel) through their file manager. Worked fine after I changed it through there.
