Error after install/patch Register_Globals OFF

I am getting this error after installation and patching when I click on "Product Attributes' in the admin section;

 

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: link_get_variable() in /home/mattmika/WWW/catalog/admin/products_attributes.php on line 18

 

I've gone over the modifications and they seem to be exactly like the patch told me to do. Is this error simply because there are no values in the sample DB? Or do I need to triple check the patch mods?

you need to triple check . .

If you installed this patch as a security measure for your website, changing register_globals to Off, when the server you are on has register_globals set to On - it won't work.

I overlooked a small part of patch code in one of the files(forgot which one already). Its working now.
