Product enquiry with no sale

Hi I just wondered if anyone knows or has made a product enquiry add on. So that someone can add items like normal to their order but instead of a checkout they would right a message and submit their enquiry. This could then be used more for machinery when you can't get a sale straight away. Prices could be shown but probably best if there weren't.

 

If anyone has heard of something like that or something that could be customized to do it let me know.
