Fill-in field for product attributes

I searched but was unable to find an answer. Many of my products are personalized. This requires the customer to fill-in a blank text field with the text they want printed on the item. How do I go about adding this option.

Thanks for your reply. I looked at the file and your site. Was it difficult to install? Does it limit the number of fields I can offer for my customer to fill-in for personalization? Meaning some products have up to three places to add personalization, can I include three different fields for them to fill in.

You can add as many as you want. I have a total of 8 per gift ( they are just not all installed yet). I also have the upload option. This is very handy if you need you custmer to upload a logo or image. Check on my site in 5 min. I will add that feature.

As for being hard....LOL. It was a pain, but I have NO web training. I just jumped right in, so if you know php or sql it will be a lot easier for you.

No problem. Glad to finaly give a little back.

Also just a tip. On the text boxes the field is limited to 32 characters, not enough for a message on a card. There is a upgrade to the options type feature Here I don't have the knowledge to upgrade the file+ upload option with the new option features. It also gives you a few more features. You might want to look into that.
