Host says "safe mode = ON" ....

Hi

 

Decided to go for a slightly more expensive host as "u get wot u pay for" ...

 

They have safe mode set on as a security precaution - let's face it, some users wanna run scripts etc that aint exactly kosher - so this is really a good thing for me

 

My understanding is that safe mode on limits system calls - but that there should always be a work around

 

Is safe mode = on gonna break anything ?
