not showing title for Tax on orders

Taxes seem to be working fine, but in the order checkout and on invoices the title for the tax total just displays a colon and then the dollar amount.

It looks like this:

 

Sub-Total: $9.40

Shipping: $6.85

: $1.35

Total: $17.60

 

I can't figure out why it doesn't say Tax there. In the database under orders_total it just has a colon in the title field as well... Any ideas?

I'm using the register_globals patch and the paypal IPN contribution v3.0, though I've already checked over those changes several times and can't find any problems with them.
