g00dgirl Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Affiliates never like an affiliate tracking system that is based on cookies. Is there any contribution that registeres the affiliate ID in the customers account to reliably track all future orders? I searched through all contributions and did not find one, maybe I overlooked it. If a customer deletes the cookies or re-orders from another computer the affiliate wont earn commissions. Also for the shop owner it can be a problem if a regular customer for many months, suddenly clicks on an affiliate link somewhere and then the shop owner pays commissions from that day on, even though the customer already knew the shop. Affiliates who have a choice do not want a cookie system, they will go elsewhere and ask for a branded site where all orders go towards their account. If this does not exist, is there anyone who wants to help to write it with me in the coming 2, 3 days? I need to get it done now.
