anythingamiga Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Hi, I have a problem with tax zones. I am in Australia which has a 10% goods and services tax. I have configured one tax zone only, that is called Australia, this has 8 subzones for the Australian states only. My problem ................... my shop keeps adding GST even on overseas orders. Any ideas to fix the problem will be much appreciated. Regards Doug
iwik Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Hey Doug, I don't seem to have any problems with overseas orders being charged GST. But I have mine set up just a bit differently.. I've got my Zones set up like this: In the Locations/Taxes > Zones section, I added the 7 Australian States. So, in the list it has this: Country Zone Code Australia Queensland QLD Australia New South Wales NSW Australia Australian Capital Territory ACT Australia Western Australia WA Australia Northern Territory NT Australia Victoria VIC Australia Tasmania TAS The same as the different states listed for the United States, Germany etc. Then under Locations/Taxes > Tax Zones I created a tax zone called Australia with the description of "GST". Within that I selected "Australia" using the country drop down list, and then selected "All Zones". So, only those Zones associated with Australia get charged the 10% tax. Hope this helps, Jane.
