I just set up an OSC store for the very first time. My customer wanted a wood themed site to sell his products (custom made wood items). The site is at Pacs Pine Designs and I would appreciate any feedback.

Hi Ken,

 

Well I like the colored theme that the shop has taken on. At the bottom of the footer in the copyright you need to fix the HTML:

I'd suggest removing the xxxx Requests since xxxx also in the footer. It's just one extra database query that has to be done.

Thanks for the feedback Shaun! I missed the silly HTML mistake. Call that one the result of typing while sleepy ;)

Thanks also for the suggestion about removing the "Requests since" code. I wouldn't have thought of that and appreciate the help.

What about using the menu button background for the logo? The logo seems weak now and doesn't mesh very well with the rest of the color scheme. I like the menu buttons a lot. If you could change the rest of the buttons ('continue', 'add to cart', etc.) to match, it would look better.

I would make my buttons "wooden too", some freaky branch kind of thing

not sure how you made those buttons because all I see are standard OSC issue buttons.

If your customer likes those, by all means, still I think they are out of touch with your otherwise very integrated design.

Oh, sorry, I misunderstood. Yes, I agree, those definitely need changed. I'm gonna work on that and get them replaced. Thanks and sorry for the mixup.

Your Privacy Notice is surely incorrect. The custmers name and address must be available for shipping etc. or did I miss something?

Thanks David. I'll go back and look at the privacy notice. Very possible a mistake was made there. I didn't write it, but I'll go take a look at it. You are correct about the buttons. I'm gonna change those to match the others. Thanks!
