Can someone please look at my site....look at the info boxes on the home page and tell me how to get rid of those ugly little gray cubes that appear on the titles of those boxes? I managed to get rid of the curved edges that they had initially; but I can't seem to make these fields one solid color. Help?

Please take a look

Thanks!

Those are images. What you need to do is take the pixel_clear.gif that is in the images directory and save it as corner_right_left.gif and ftp it to your images/infobox folder.

The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.

Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems?

There are many very useful osC Contributions

Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here

BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??

Furthermore, I already have a file called corner_right_left.gif in the images/infobox folder. I have no idea what to do here. Anybody?

Yeah I didnt see pixel_clear....

but you can also create a transparent gif the same size as the images in question which is 11x14 and call it the same name: corner_right_left.gif

and replace the files...

Whoosh!!!!! Everything you said just went right over my head. Sorry, TCwho. I need you to baby me here.

But, Thank God you showed up...the last guy took off after I said I had no pixel_clear.gif

What exactly do I do here? I don't know what these images ARE that are showing up in my infoboxes so, I have no clue how to proceed here. What do you mean 'replace the files'? Totally lost...getting a headache....ugh

But, honestly, Thanks for showing up! I need you here!

ok this is what you need:

corner_right_left.gif

(you cant see because it is transparent...but its there....highlight the above area and you will see a tiny box)

You need to place that file in this exact location:

http://soapoperaworld.net/images/infobox/

and the file is called exactly:

corner_right_left.gif

So all together the exact location of the file that is calling that little tiny box is:

http://soapoperaworld.net/images/infobox/c..._right_left.gif

You can see for yourself in the above link....

so what you are doing is placin the image I made for you in place of it :)

Bingo!!!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!! You're a sweetheart!

And yes, I'm sure Richard is exceptional. But, there's two kinds of people on this board...those that know what they're doing...and me. So, I'm very grateful to have someone like you that is willing to take the time to help me out. Thanks again!

Sorry I coufused you with the pixel clear instead of the the pixel trans. I was working from memory and recalled the file name incorrectly. It was not a matter of me running off when you said you had no pixel clear as I was already gone. It was after 9pm here and after my last post I went to get my son ready for bed and put down for the night and when I was done I never came back to the board as I had enough of the computer for one day. As much as I try and post and help people I do not sit here 24/7 waiting for questions so I can post answers. Depending on what I have going on I may skip whole days. That is the great thing about this forum, there are so many people willing to help that if one person is not available there is usually someone else around to step in and do so.
