amason Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 Apologies. I've searched and read so much on the knowledge base and here and I'm just no further forward. I'm on vdeck ipowerweb. Initially, I FTP'd the catalog and got various errors via that method. I then deleted all of that installation, bar the database, and followed vdeck's installation guidelines instead. Now, it seems, my datatbase is no good. I'm getting this: $cfg['Servers'][$i]['pmadb'] string Starting with version 2.3.0 phpMyAdmin offers a lot of features to work with master / foreign - tables. To use those as well as the bookmark feature you need special tables with a predefined structure, which we explain below. If you are the only user of this phpMyAdmin installation, you can use your current database to store those special tables; in this case, just put your current database name in $cfg['Servers'][$i]['pmadb']. I just don't have a clue how to go about doing this! Can someone talk me through it? Or is there a really idiot-level guide on the basics of installation - a, b, c type of thing? I'm still having kittens about securing the admin folder, etc., because there are two admin folders and I really don't understand the whole .htaccess process. All patient advice gratefully received!
