How to add date picker to checkout

Hi All,

 

I am attempting to add a date picker to the Shoping Cart page so that when the user selects the quantity of items (which will be tickets) they also have to select the date they require the item for.

 

I have picked up the date picker from http://www.veluwe.net/jaap/pop/ but I am not sure how to put this in so that the information is checked to ensure the item can be booked for this date and also to ensure the information passes through to the checkout.

 

I am very new to this so appreciate your help.
