Hey all,

 

Does anyone know how to modify the Model Number of a product based on an attribute?

 

Here's my situation:

 

I have a store that sells t-shirts. After items are ordered on the website, we input them into our local business system. In order to avoid having a column of info called "size" and to accurately keep track of stock, etc we assign a product number for each size.

 

For example, a basic white t-shirt could have the product number TS0034. However, the various sizes would have these model numbers:

 

TS0034-S

TS0034-M

TS0034-L

TS0034-XL

 

In order to integrate our website with our local system, I need to assign these numbers to the products on the website. However, I'm not going to list each sized-product as its own product b/c that would be visually absurd. So! Anyone have any good ideas? I don't know if QT Pro assigns individual model numbers and haven't been able to find anything else regarding this.
