Guest
Hi, how do I set up an admin profile for a client? I want them to be restricted to managing their product info but not let them mess about with the store's config. How do I achieve this? Thanks

♥ozcsys
tell them not to touch it or you will charge the extra ! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well for me it is not just a matter of keeping clients from breaking anything but ease of use. I routinely pare down what is available to them so that the admin is less confusing and easier for them to use. Mostly in the configuration box. I have found that less choices makes for less questions and support time needed down the line. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? 241
I use a combination of admin with access and an extra field in the database called visible then add into the query where visible = 1 this can allow me to configure the admin to allow just one available option if required or as many as required by setting the appropriate entry to visible = 1 No longer giving free advice. Please place deposit in meter slot provided. Individual: [=] SME: [==] Corporation: [===] If deposit does not fit one of the slots provided then you are asking too much!
