Size of Text Area for order Comments is unlimited

I just noticed this during testing.

 

If you type an entire paragraph into the "Add Comments About Your Order" textbox, it seems to word wrap, but when you click continue, in the shipping info page it no longer wordwraps and then it forces all the buttons off the left side of the screen because the Comments field is now huge!

 

I cant force people to hit enter at the end of each line!!!

 

How do i either:

a) turn off word wrap when they type in this field,

or

b ) force the size of the text field to stay proportionate when there is a whole bunch of text in it????

 

????? Is it just me??? I have a brand new install going here!!!

 

Does it have anything to do with the database field attributes in the dB table 'orders' ????
