admin section logging problem

Hi friends

I am using osCommerce on red hat linux platform and i am facing a strange problem .

when i am browsing the admin panel from any windows 2000 (prof) it does not ask for admin panel username and password. but when i am browsing it from windows XP machines it asks for it.

It sounds like funny but i am facing the problem. I am new to the oscommerce so thought any one of you may have resolved the problem may be i need to do some setting on my web server.

IF any one have idea about it. please let me know as soon as possible.

This is not a Windows 2000 problem, so there must be something wrong with your setup. Go to your web hosting control panel and check to make sure that your osCommerce 'admin' folder is listed as a Protected Directory.
