password protection for control panel in windows?

Hello everyone!

 

I'm running oscommerce on a windows 2003 server and would like to have my control panel password protected. As fas as I can tell this is done with the unix .htaccess files, which is not an option that works (to my knowledge at least) in windows.

 

Any idea how to solve that issue? renaming the control panel directory (admin) to something wild and random effectively kills all functionality.

I should add I have been able to use windows authentication which works, but not with a login screen but through the built in IIS security. Kinda sucks... any other ways to do this?
