Adding Serial Number Input

I am working for a small Xbox part/repair company. Our live shopping cart is at secure.llamma.com. We are trying to add a field to one of our catalog's virtual products, the repair service. The field we are looking to add is a form in which the customer can input the serial number of the product he is looking to repair, for example his DVD drive. Is this a feasible and ideally relatively easy thing to do?
