doug_b Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 Hi Everyone! I am encountering a strange problem....A very strange problem. When going to mydomain.com/admin I get the normal OsC admin front page.... When I click on a link eg. Catalog/Configuration/Customers etc my browser decides to take me to Microsoft.com. I would post code, but I don't know where to start looking.... In the status bar, the target URL looks fine. I have not had this problem before, but it is the first time I have tried it on this particular web server. I have developed the site offline on my local computer (as I have done with all of my other OsC sites, which coincidentally work fine - touch wood) The admin section works fine on my local computer. Many thanks in advance for solutions for this problem. In the meantime I will upload a completely fresh version of OsCommerce to the same host and see if I get similar problems. Will post results...
bobg7 Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 Kave your tried another browser like Firefox or Netscape? Try doung a scan for spyware, hijacks and viruses, IE may have been nailed. Just a thought. Bob G. doug_b Posted December 13, 2004 Author Posted December 13, 2004 Thanks Bob, tried Firefox and IE.... However, the problem has fixed itself. I woke up this morning and it worked fine - must have been a bad dream :D My guess is that the web server had taken a little while to update the admin/includes/configure.php file, and it was still using the old one (I always need at least 2 or 3 tries at getting it right :P ) I now have a nother query, but I will start a new topic - mainly for the benefit of other users, should they search for it.
