Hi.. Experts...

 

em in a deeep trub :'( .. trying to solve it since more than 3 months now.. :S

 

em trying to make a music store .. no for that I have albums .. the prob is that lets say Album-A got 5 songs in it..

now I want that album to be treated as a single product as well as a set of products.. so that when searched a user can search for a album an can search for a indivisual song..

also.. if a user selects a album then on prod detail page it should show all the songs under it..

 

in simple words..

 

I have a Cat-A

and in it.. I got 3 albums.. X , Y and Z

and under each album there are 5 songs..

so I dont want album to be treated as Cat.. but as a products.. and that product should have child products..

 

so anyone will be able to but the whole products or just any child product.

 

I hope em explaining it properly...

 

plz if anyone can help me..

I would really appriciate it..

Might be interesting to modify the "cross selling products" contribution to acheive what you're looking for.

 

Technically the only thing that should really have to happen here is:

 

1. Show them all when the parent is selected (can be done in the box?)

2. Hide them when youre not showing them. (I know that sounds stupid, but logically...)

 

I appologize if that makes no sense, and it probably won't.. I have it in my head will try to think more and explain better in a few minutes.
