bowo Posted December 11, 2004 Posted December 11, 2004 Hi, I have read the previous discussion board on the login and create account error problem. I have set the ssl in the configuration.php file to false. However, i can't seem to find the other ssl variable in the admin/configuration file. I have also set the domain name in the configuration.php file and still get the following error: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /var/www/html/oscommerce/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. What should I do to solve this problem? Could anyone please help?? Also, I am just wondering, if I want to change the layout of the online catalog page, where should I start about doing it? ( I am new to oscommerce). Thanks
ozcsys Posted December 11, 2004 Posted December 11, 2004 A url would be helpful. If you set it to false in one file it is the exact same to set it to false in the other but it is admin/includes/configuration.php You need to change the permissions to 444 or 644 to get rid of the error message. It depends on what you want to change. The best thing to do is pick one thing at a time and work on it until you get it like you want then do something else. Always back up your files before you start making changes. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
