Guest Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 Hi all I have been an enthousiast user of oscommerce for three years now. Thank you for this nice product! I am regularly scanning through the contributions, because over the years I have been using OSC, there are some things I would like to be able to do in the admin area. Here is what I would like to do, maybe you can tell me if the feature is already available somewhere, or if it will be developed. Wishlist: - Ability to add a customer account from the admin screen, with possibility to specify the customer password (password being automatically generated if this field is left blank), and a checkbox to control wether the customer should get a welcome e-mail with his password or not, plus a listbox to specifiy which one of the installed languages should be used. - Ability to change a customer's password - Ability to manage orders: - Ability to select a customer and to directly type in an order on his behalf. The order should show that it has been typed in by admin. All, absolutely all order fields should be editable by admin, including reference, descriptions, prices, shipping costs, tax, etc. + Ability to add empty lines inthe order (where admin can add items that are not in the catalog). There should also be a listbox to specify in which language the order is to be processed. At the end of the order, checkboxes to specifiy if the order has already been paid (in this case the order becomes directly an "acknowledged order" or not, and specify the payment method (from the existing supported methods of the site PLUS A MANUAL METHOD - for checks, etc.). If the payment method that was selected is an automatic method supported by the website and if the order status is "unpaid", the website should send an e-mail to the customer, containing a link to proceed with payment. The payment module script would then confirm the unpaid order and make an "acknowledged order" of it, as it does now with regular orders. Thank you for your time reading this. I feel the above features are necessary to make OSCommerce a nearly-perfect shop system!
